Today I had to pull double duty at the school. I had to shuffle around my schedule so I can write my finals on Thursday and as well I had to cover two shifts for a co-worker who is in England right now. It felt like a pretty long day. Usually I can manage to make it to the gym for a bit, but today working out just didn't fit into the schedule. On Tuesdays and Thursday there is a group of us that participates in an express Jazzercise class led by one of the Kindergarten teachers. It's great fun, but today I didn't go. The reason I didn't go is because Kamden and Trevor have been home sick. Yesterday Trevor took Kamden and himself to the medi-clinic only to find out that the two of them have strep throat. So, needless to say, the two of them didn't leave the house today. So I didn't stay for Jazzercise because Simon's didn't have his usual buddy, Kamden, to hang out with while mommy was busting jazzercise moves. Oh well...hopefully they will both be better tomorrow.
Last night the kids finished off their fist session of gymnastics. They both added a new badge to their collection. Kamden was the first to receive her badge, Burgundy. She was so happy...she even hugged her coach. Simon received his next and showed us his report card. To our surprise Simon didn't just get one badge, but three of them. You could see the disappointment in Kamden's face, but we just told her that Simon's teacher was a little more easy going and that it didn't necessarily mean that she wasn't good at gymnastics.
Well I am off to take Mr. S to soccer for his practice...back on the road again....
